| Re: HELP! I HAVE to sell all my Honduran Red Points... Well, as many of them as I still have - I'm afraid I will still have some when you get back - though our club auction is coming up middle of April - and I may just bag up a zillion of them and hope for the best! PM me when you return and we'll see what's left. If you're serious about them, might be a good thing to get them before you leave... |

Or measure out food for her |

| Re: HELP! I HAVE to sell all my Honduran Red Points... For what it's worth - when I go off on trips and have our kitty and fish sitter come stay at the house - I put a sticky note on each tank telling what type of food (generally a multipurpose flake for while I'm gone), and how many scoops of it I use per day (or twice a day if needed). I have a dedicated measuring spoon (it's n 1/8 teaspoon measure). So in some tanks it may be one scoop, some it may be 4 - but I just put the sticky on the front of the tank with how many to feed daily. I pretty much consider that to be idiot proof. In fact, I had to go out of town not too long ago and did the same for hubby who really tends to overfeed if I don't throttle him down with the "how much" sticky notes! Works like a charm!
So PM me when you're back again - and we'll hope your fish are just fine when you get home. Oh - don't forget to tell her to look for any dead ones every day and scoop them out asap. I found that if I don't mention it specifically, they don't do it. I rarely ever have a death, but when I do, I certainly don't want it floating around polluting the other fish! Have a good trip. |

| Re: HELP! I HAVE to sell all my Honduran Red Points... we live together so i dont think she'll forget to feed them she knows that she will go out the door before the fish do and how precious they are lol shhhh just dont tell her that or she will beat me lol she is pretty good on feeding them as i bought her a 10 gallon and she is in charge of feeding them. she know nothing else about fish though. so i hope everything goes good. as far as leaveing goes its not a vacation. i;m in the military and going to the naval hospital for back surgery. but i'll enjoy what i can out of it lol |

| Re: HELP! I HAVE to sell all my Honduran Red Points... Back surgery.... Hubby did that years ago at the Naval Hospital in San Antonio, TX when he was in the Navy based in Grand Prairie, TX. If you get a doc half as good as he did - you'll be doing wonderful! Hubby has hardly ever had any problems from it after all these years, including the way he treats it! I wish you as great a surgery and recovery as hubby had! Take care. |

| Re: HELP! I HAVE to sell all my Honduran Red Points... C'mon guys and gals - help a fellow aquarist out here?? I REALLY need this tank and it's occupants to GO AWAY!! I can't get any cheaper - I've fed and maintained them for 18 months - that doesn't come for free. They're beautiful fish and very personable - you just can't go wrong with them. Somerton16 - I hope you've recovered well from your back surgery. |

| Re: HELP! I HAVE to sell all my Honduran Red Points... Received and answered - thanks duffee. I just realized that I never updated this thread with the FINAL blow out price. I absolutely HAVE to get these fish and their 65g tank out of here before the first of August ? so here?s the FINtastic deal: 5 Fully grown mature unsexed (so don't ask) Honduran Red Points for $5. Shipping will be $24.50 via priority mail (don?t worry - I have shipped to South Texas in the heat of the summer and had it take 4 days - all were still fine). Our excellent track record is due to the medical grade oxygen and the outstanding shipping chemicals that give us such great success with even slow deliveries. Express mail, should you decide to go that way, would be $59.40 ? however, because of our rural location, usps will not ?delivery guarantee" for the next day ? so it likely will take 2 days (which is what priority states anyway). I?m happy to help you save money on the shipping. If I can't sell them for a buck apiece, they're going to the dreaded WALMART (we're rural here, small towns are a bit different) - where I fear their future will not be a pleasant one. I hope I don't have to do that - but they ALL absolutely have to be gone by the first of August. I know everyone means well, but believe me I?ve had all the suggestions that can be made offered, so please, if you?re not interested in getting some, please don?t post or pm me (I have this post on several forums). I don?t mean this to sound ungrateful, I?m just SO incredibly short on time that each alert I get in my email inbox that someone posts, is a message that I?m hoping means 5 more of the 52 remaining will leave here so I can empty the tank. Just to put your wondering minds to rest, I live 2 hours away one way from the closest LFS and 2.5 hours away from the ?local club? and the other fish stores. The craigslist areas are in the same two locations as the fish stores, though I will list them there anyway. ONLINE is my ONLY option now other than perhaps wally world? This is why I HAD to get really good at shipping with slow deliveries! Here are pics of my little beauties:
Wow, the color and formatting in that last post went crazy (apostrophies and such included). Sorry guys! No edit button, so I guess it stays that way...
