hey yall my Female ventus had some eggs in her mouth i moved her to 10 gallon tank so she could released the fry but instead she released all her eggs there just sitting there now at the bottom of the tank does that mean im not getting babies? or will the eggs hatch on their own?

Do you have a male Venustus cichlid in the main tank with her? Males usually will have a bright blue head, especially during breeding time. Any other haplochromis cichlids in the tank as well? Usually the eggs would hatch while within the females mouth and she would protect them for awhile. Maybe she got spooked when she was moved to the ten gallon and that cause her to ditch her eggs. If they've already been fertilized, which would have happened earlier in the main tank most likely, then it's possible they may still hatch. Although she may also try to eat 'em!
